Birmingham’s now been picked as the location for the UK’s first WordCamp conference, a gathering of writers, developers and fans who all use the WordPress blogging platform.
More details can be found at uk.wordcamp.org and the WordCamp UK blog, setup by my own fair hands. This will quite likely make the agenda for the next bloggers’ meetup, whose Facebook group always has a fair amount of lurkers, so working on the same principle the blog and its accompanying podcast - which will go live when the time is right - should hopefully provide some useful accounts for those who aren’t able or are too cool to attend.
Gots to say it sounds very exciting. There’s loads of stuff i’d like to get insights about and how to then pass on all the good stuff for wannabe bloggers and the internet interested.
Tickets for WordCamp UK 2008 are now available.
